The count system is of course depending on the numeric use of it, like in English we count as we have all learned to do so. For exsamplewe count one this two that and also use numbers to say certain other things. In corean also we count like in english, certain things we use 1,2,3,4, as one, two, three, four etc and also use 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th etc as IL, Yee, Sam; Sa; Oh, Yuk/Ruk, Chil, Pal, Ku, Sip as 1rst, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th. In Korean we use one etc like this: Hana, dul, set, net, dasot, yosot, ilgop, yodol, ahop, yol as from 1 to 10 and from eleven (11) to 20 like this: Yol Hana, Yol Dul, Yol Set, Yol Net, Yol Dasot, Yol Yosot, Yol lLgop, Yol Yodol, Yol Ahop, and 20 as Su Mul The rest are in the other counting group like this from eleven11 to 20: IL, Yee, Sam; Sa; Oh, Yuk/Ruk, Chil, Pal, Ku, Sip and Sip IL, Sip Yee, Sip Sam, Sip Sa, Sip Oh, Sip Yuk/Ruk, Sip Chil, Sip Pal, Sip Ku and 20th is Yee Sip, etc. You can find this in the internet in a quiker way by writing corean numbers in the search bar. Have a nice study search. HAP Ramon NavarroHapKiDo SabomNimSong Moo Kwan HapKiDoPanama Republic of Panama 1. Anyone know the people mentioned below? Jye [Hello, how are you doing? Thanks for the information. I've first started Moo Duk Kwoon {Tai Kwon DO} in Junction City, Kanses in 1978-1981. My intructors is Kevin Reese and Cliton J. Rice, under master Choon HWA Han. My dad was in the army at the time, we did alot of traveling to cause me to loose contact of the Tai Kwon Do school. Hopefully, through this group I be able to reunite with old Tai Kwon Brothers/sisters, and meet new Tai Kwon Do friends on the way. Try to make water your primary beverage. Eliminate soda and fruit juices as much as possible. I like milk for the cheap protein, but most folks with weight issues should cut back. 2. Make breakfast your primary meal. If you don't eat a big healthy breakfast then don't ask anything else about health and fitness because you're frankly wasting everybody's time. I prefer to eat a hot protein breakfast everyday...mostly bacon and eggs with some fruit or toast to occasionally break the monotony. 3. Most people eat no breakfast, have chips for lunch, and then hit a buffet for supper. You should reverse that. Eat a huge breakfast, a reasonable lunch, and only a light supper to satiate evening hunger and help you sleep. 4. If it comes in a box, bag, or wrapper you probably shouldn't eat it. 5. If you're going to eat bread at least eat whole wheat. It is nutritionally dense compared to white bread so at least you're getting some dietary value. 6. The potato is the devil. Just trust me. 7. 'Bigger, Faster, Stronger' has the world's simplest nutrition program that any teenager can follow. Don't eat chips, candy, donuts, and French Fries and don't drink soda. 8. Eliminate sugar as much as possible. 9. Don't eat bread after 5:00. Keep all carbs at night to a minimum. Try to get some meat in the evening. Your body builds muscle when you sleep, so you gotta give a brother some protein to work with. 10. Go into a grocery store. See the stuff around the perimeter? The meats, the fruits, the fresh vegetables? This stuff is GOOOOOOD. Eat it. See the stuff on the shelves? The bread, the macaroni and cheese, the muffins, the cheese sauces? This stuff is BAAAAAAD. Don't eat it. 11. People your age shouldn't be hanging around crack houses. Consider all fast food restaurants a "crack house". 12. Eat foods that are anabolic (promote lean tissue formation). Eggs, almonds, salmon, yogurt, lean beef, drink water, "high grade" oatmeal (not that sugary flavored crap they sell at Wal-Mart), blueberries, and apples. 13. I like chicken too. Yard Bird is one of the Lord's greatest gifts, IMO. Just take the skin off of it and bake it (don't fry if you can help). Now, from my prior post you may think I'm just messing with you. The fact is that I wish someone had drilled into me at 14 what I just gave you. Then again I already knew everything at 14 so I probably wouldn't have listened anyway. Let me know what you think. _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list, 2000 members The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net Copyright 1994-2005: Ray Terry and Martial Arts Resource Standard disclaimers apply http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang --------------------------------- How low will we go? Maenam lost in the finweight final to Kim 4-3 at the tournament in May in Valencia, Spain. However, Kim's urine sample tested positive, prompting the World Taekwondo Federation to strip her of the title. Dr Nat Indrapana, president of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand (TAT) and vice president of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), said: "It's not fair for Maenam to compete against someone using drugs. There is no way she could win if that was the case." The TAT protested to the International Sports University Federation (FISU). After two-days of deliberation, FISU decided to give Maenam the gold medal instead. Maenam is now recovering from knee surgery and hopes to be fit to compete again in December's Asian Games in Doha. --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2006: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
