Taekwondo Times, a magazine on martial arts, said about 20 performers and masters will arrive in the U.S. on Oct. 4. They will perform first in Los Angeles on Oct. 6 and travel on to San Francisco; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Louisville, Kentucky. The tour ends in Atlanta on Oct. 14. The Los Angeles performance is expected to be aired on U.S. television. North Korea and the U.S., yet to normalize relations, have been seeking various exchanges to help improve bilateral ties. Earlier this month, North Korea invited the New York Philharmonic to perform in Pyongyang. Dojo is strictly a Japanese term, not a Korean term or one used in taekwondo. So I'd first wonder about that. Re poomsae comp, there is a very big push at the international level via the Kukkiwon to support and hold poomsae comps. A few posts from USAT have been posted here about poomsae comp (most recently yesterday or the day before), so I'd perhaps start with the USAT @ http://usa-takwondo.us/ and the contact info page @ http://usa-taekwondo.us/367.htm. Man, that's harsh! And yeah, a stiff right hand from someone that knows what they're doing can make anyone take a break for a few minutes (long enough to see the other guy get his hand raised). Good news is, they'll get to be on TV a lot in the upcoming months. Bad news is, it's a highlight reel.... "I still have my old VHS tape of that event. Lots of legendary beatdowns occurred on that show. Good times...good times." Remember, it's better to give than receive... :) Speaking of which, how's your MMA training going? Any more fights lined up? Do a bit of research on the web or in the library on PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) it is as far as I know "THE" best way to increase flexibility. If your flexibility can be increased PNF will do it for you.
