So what is the background history on JC Shin coming over in 1968 for Hwang Kee to push TSD in the US? My limited info has JC Shin coming to the US for Hwang Kee. For whatever reason that fell thru and then CS Kim came over for the same reason. That too fell thru. Then HC Hwang came over and thus we have the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. ??? As contemplated in the original agreement, HLT has handed over the stewardship to the USAT. Herb Perez, 1992 Olympic gold medalist and CEO of HLT stated, "We are proud to have been part of the process to develop the content and educational material for the USAT CIDP. Over the past two years we have interacted with every USAT coach. It was our goal to offer quality content to America's coaches so that the U.S. Team can continue its quest for international success." USAT CEO David Askinas commented, "The time was right for the USAT to accept transfer of the responsibility for developing and executing coaching, referee and athlete training programs back from HLT. This past year USAT brought Edward Yoon on staff as national programs director to work together with HLT on these programs. Mr. Yoon and the National Team coaching staff will now be responsible for helping deliver the type of programs that will continue to assist the membership of USAT in taking their athletic, coaching and referee careers to the highest possible level." --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2007 13:39:35 -0800 From: The_Dojang To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] US Open in New Orleans - Feb 8-10 Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net 2008 U.S. Open Online Registration Available November 13, 2007 Online registration is now available for the 2008 U.S. Open in New Orleans, La., February 8-10.
