I'm looking for help in finding the right "master". I have books & dvds (seminar) by Dillman but the dvds location of where to strike are often hidden and not well laid out...the books are ok but I'm really looking for a good teacher, and even better, a school. I've also purchased books by Lyons recently which is a good addition. I'm studying Dim Mak too and a few other like the White Crane system.. yet I can't get enough.. Does anyone know of other sources?? If the cds don't get better, then I'd like to attend classes.... You can email me too. He mentioned that he was disappointed after helping him come to the U.S. because he was of no help. There was no mention of Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee at that time. Kwan Jang Nim states in his History of MDK (pages 43 & 44) that “Actual attempts at unification were started in 1964-1965 by the Tae Kwon Do Group, which was led by General Choi, Hong Hee. . . . After a number of discussions and meetings, he (KJN) decided not to agree to the unification. His reasons were: (1) Unification would be under the name of “Tae Kwon Do.” . . . (2) There were 21 seats for the entire Board of Directors. However, there were only three seats provided for the Korean Soo Bahk Do Association. Members of the Korean Soo Bahk Do Association made up nearly 70% of the entire martial arts membership of Korea at that time. . . . (3) The Moo Duk Kwan had taken the major role in the promotion of national and international Moo Do activities in Korea.” When you say that “most MDK members voted in favor of kwan unification.” it creates an interesting picture. How many MDK members are we talking about? I’m sure that no voting took place and the meetings were among the representatives of the kwans. I can’t blame Kwan Jang Nim Hwang Kee for wanting to remain in control of his Moo Duk Kwan. I can’t believe that he wanted control over the other kwans. The Government wanted control over all of them. Many MDK instructors were eventually forced to go along with the Military Government and Tae Kwon Do or lose their jobs and sometimes worse. This resulted in the MDK “split” you’re talking about. The Founder of the MDK stuck to his principles and was also persecuted and harassed by the Government in many ways. T.
