I wasn't aware that there was that kind of academic support. Where did you get a Master's in Martial Science? What was your thesis on and has it been published. That has the potential to be a fascinating read. No. 07/800 November 8, 2007 Mr. John Dowling Coates AC Member, International Olympic Committee President, Australian Olympic Committee Dear Mr. Coates: It is with deep regret to learn that the Taekwondo Australia Inc. has not satisfied the requirements stipulated in the Australian Olympic Committee Constitution, thereby resulting in its cessation as a member of your good office. In consideration of the interests of the taekwondo athletes in Australia, I hereby confirm the AOC as the interim governing entity of taekwondo in Australia, until the present situation is resolved amicably by all parties or until a new national taekwondo association is recognized by the AOC and the WTF. At this juncture, the primary purpose of the interim entity is to select the best athletes to participate in the WTF Oceania Taekwondo Qualification Tournament, which will be held in Noumea, New Caledonia, on December 1, 2007. The Oceania Taekwondo Union, the governing taekwondo continental union, will provide all necessary assistance where necessary. While the WTF will accept such applications from the AOC for this Tournament, please note that, in accordance with the Competition Rules of the WTF, the athletes are required to possess WTF-style Dan certificates issued by the Kukkiwon. I thank you for your leadership and cooperation, and hope that the situation in Australia will be resolved as soon as possible. Sincerely yours, Chungwon Choue President Cc. What is > wrong > with learning the complete art instead of a washed down version? JRH > www.rrhapkido.com > > -- __--__-- They don't have to practice a particular style. I teach Sun Moo Kwan Hapkido. My philosophy is that I have a very specific curriculum that can take a student from white belt through 7th degree black belt. Unlike some systems or schools that just promote by time in grade or show me what you know type attitudes. The number one advantage of the system I teach is that they are a standard that everyone has to follow in order to advance. As for complete art. I my 29 years of unbroken training, the last 20 years full time professional martial arts I have not found a more complete school of Hapkido than what I teach. It has been just the opposite that the folks that I meet that say "I teach Hapkido", are the majority of the time only teaching the portion they like. For what its worth anyone out their that ever wants to come visit my school in Georgia is more than welcome. Respectfully yours in Hapkido Sun Moo Kwan, James Allison --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2007: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
