The bride had ACL surgery and the webserver moved to a new updated server and lost a lot of info on our sites. In addition, I was out of town this past weekend and will be gone again for four days next week. The local YMCA has approached us a few times about doing a program out of their facility on a 50/50 split. We were approached again this week. We simply can't because they are literally across the street and charge about half of what we do. This would obviously open us up for a lot of problems because we'd either be overcharging our students OR offering a watered down program for the YMCA. Neither of those situations is desirable. And after the 50/50 split, we'd be working for roughly 25% of what we currently charge. Hate to say no because it's the intentions are good and I serve on the Board of Directors. But it's just not doable in the scenarios we've been presented so far. With all that said, the YMCA is a very important part of the community and allows people to do sports and interact regardless of their finical situation. It's a Christian based program that is very active in the community. It's a great place for a start-up school but I don't hear of a lot of long term programs. Of course there's always the exception like my local TKD instructor that's taught out of the community center for 10-15 years. Any recommendations on schools that I can visit if I can get a free moment? Not hung up on various styles - just like to train when/where I can. It could be a good source of student/business contacts. Those students who truly wish to continue training would be referred to your school. Financial matters might be resolved in other ways.
