Repetition....stilling your mind with breathing exercises, meditation, etc....it has nothing to do with evil or praying to circus midgets or sexy yard gnomes........it's just a part of "real" martial arts training.... She studies kempo, ninjutsu and stuff like that. She's also a personal trainer. One thing I notice is that with the weight chain you can afford to let one end go and re capture it around an opponent's limb, can't always do that with a belt. Just something a little different I thought I'd share with the group. That's why Blockbuster's offering you one month of Blockbuster Total Access, No Cost. --__--__-- Message: 10 From: michael tomlinson To: Subject: RE: [The_Dojang] Re: weight chain Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2008 11:53:52 +0000 Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Now if you've been trained properly with a belt you can let go of the end and recapture it and if you watch the video closely a lot of the techniques she is doing is with a piece of rope instead of a weighted chain.....I also have used a weighted chain quite a bit...one of the best people I have ever been around and learned some belt techniques from is Grandmaster Les Connard out in Los Angeles....he is GOOD with a belt and teaches it different than the basic version you see most of the time... once while joggin in my neigborhood here in Florida I killed a coral snake with a weighted chain.....now now before you tree huggers get mad at me it was by my front porch and my daughter was very young then....it was the biggest coral snake I have ever seen!!
