Like you said, they disappear into the country side. One though, married the Masters sister, and got his own school, while another went against the Master who brought him over here, opened his own school before serving his"(Indentured Servitude", I think that's what it is called, so the Master had him Deported. A big mess in this neck of the woods. --__--__-- Message: 2 From: Ray To: The_Dojang Date: Fri, 9 May 2008 14:38:14 -0700 Subject: [The_Dojang] Anti-Doping code Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Taekwondo Body Adopts Anti-Doping Code By Kim Tong-hyung Staff Reporter 05-09-2008 The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), the combat sport's world governing body, adopted the revised code of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in its recent general assembly in Cesme, Turkey, officials said. The new code, which goes into effect in January next year, allows larger flexibility in sanctions, particularly in cases where athletes may have used substances prohibited under the code unintentionally or for medical purposes. The WTF became the second international sports federation to incorporate the new code, following last month's decision by the International Swimming Federation (FINA). Under the revised code, athletes testing positive for WADA's ``specified substances" can avoid or reduce their sanctions by proving how they were not at fault or did not intend to enhance their performance. Drugs banned under the code include asthma inhalers, decongestants and alpoecia medication. At the general assembly, the WTF also voiced its full support for the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s Youth Olympic Games, which first debuts in Singapore, 2010. ``We are happy to adopt the 2009 edition of the world anti-doping code," said WTF President Choue Chung-won. ``Our strong support for IOC's Youth Olympic Games and our `Taekwondo Peace Corps' program will combine to further promote the Olympic Movement," he said. In other decisions, Mexico won the honor to host the 2010 WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships in the state of Baja California. The WTF also added five countries to its membership ― Gambia, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Montenegro and Uganda ― raising the number of member states to 188. --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Fri, 09 May 2008 16:41:30 -0500 From: "Dan A.
