I have an adult student, male green belt who would like to try his hand in tournaments. The major ones I know of aren't near here, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any open tournaments in the Tucson/Phoenix area I could take him to over the summer months. It would be nice if there was also a beginners childrens div as he would like his daughter to have the opportunity to compete also. Been a lot going on with my mother's knee replacement, bride is almost done with ACL rehab, and a good buddy was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma cancer - giving him 6-12 months to live. On top of all of that, my ISP decided to update the servers and I couldn't update the websites for the past three months. *sigh* Anywho, got some pictures posted on the site at www.gordonmartialarts.com/new/2008-0420 Thanks again for Grand Master Timmerman's support for the event and sitting on the panel with Grand Master Hwang (ITF) and Master Monty Hendrix. Look forward to seeing everyone next year. I was recently approached to host a "Korean friend" at our school. Offered to sleep in the school and work every day. Made me uneasy and I declined the offer. I'd considered it had it not sounded like an indentured servant kinda thing.
