Can someone educate me on WHY anyone would believe that a House Judiciary Committee should investigate a sporting match? Are they referencing a TKD 'house' committee through whatever nat'l group...or actually thinking that a US congressional judiciary committee should be watching sports. Jeez, you think our representatives have better things to do than second guess some refs. My Flames didn't do too well in the NHL playoffs...uhhh, perhaps we could look into that while we're at it...I lost $5 on that last game. The participants will then compete in eight different weight classes for each gender until next Tuesday when the finals will be held. 혻혻 "Hosted by the Defense Ministry and sponsored by the Korea Taekwondo Association, the event will provide an opportunity for 437 athletes and support members from 37 countries to make their countries proud and to work toward world peace," the ministry said in a statement. 혻혻 The participants will be taken on a one-day tour around the country Wednesday before departing for their homes the next day. 혻혻 "The upcoming event has a different and very special meaning to those of regular Taekwondo championships as it will be attended by active military service members of various nations," a ministry official said. 혻 혻 The Korean martial art was designated an official event of the Military World Games in 1979 by the International Military Sports Council, which holds the Olympics-like events every four years. --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Tue, 20 May 2008 09:43:00 -0700 (PDT) From: Jye nigma To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Haedong gumdo Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Any on the list practice haedong gumdo?
