The withdrawal of the remedy case (Case No. : Seoul 2008 Unfair Dismissal 493/Unfair Labor Practice 25) came days after the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission made a ruling in favor of the WTF, saying the WTF's dismissal of two former WTF staff was lawful. The two former WTF staff filed a remedy case on unfair dismissal and unfair labor practices with the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission on March 17, 2008 against the WTF, claiming their dismissal was unlawful. On March 7, 2008, the WTF announced the termination of the employment of two of its staff members, in accordance with decisions of the WTF disciplinary bodies. The WTF cited as major reasons for the dismissal for their negligence of duties and bringing disgrace to the WTF, in accordance with the final decisions of the WTF's ad-hoc Sanction Committee. Under Article 24 of the WTF Rules and Regulations, the WTF established the ad-hoc Investigation Committee, which held meetings on Feb. 29 in Beijing, China and on March 3 in Seoul. The two dismissed employees were involved in irregularities related to WTF refereeing and judging in 2006 and were found guilty by the Korean judiciary system. In early January this year, three WTF staff, including the two dismissed employees, informed the WTF of the formation of a local labor union chapter in July 2007. --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2008: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
