However, I understand (believe me) the power of prayer and I want to share this info that I got from his brother.  Many of you may know Don, he's a great guy. Terry please edit as needed.  Please pray for Don.  He is a gentle soul with a fantastic sense of humor.  He has been very inspirational to me,...a humble TKD 1st Dan and white belt in Human Kind Do.   Jeff Finley South Carolina   Doctor said it was from a very recent hit on His head, right side... Happened Friday, He worked outside all day, did His TKD, exercised, came in near 4 pm to eat a bite, sat there awhile afterwards, then said My eye is hurting very very bad, the pain is unreal, I said well do You want to go get it checked and of course He said No, just give Me two Tylenols and I will go lay down... He had gotten new glasses the day before and thought maybe it was from them, I said No way it would be that bad...   He then insisted to just go rest, and about 15 minutes later, I heard Him throwing up, went in and less then 5 minutes after cleaning Him up, I noticed He looked paralyzed on His right arm and also was Now Not responding at all, so I rushed and dialed 911, they came very quickly... fire and ambulance, they could Not get Him to respond at all, yet His BP was 128/ 75 or so... They worked on Him for 30 minutes it seemed, But nothing... So took Him to Trident Medical Hospital ER, where He spent almost 4-5 hours in the Trauma room before they finally took Him to surgery at about 10:30 pm, surgery lasted 3-4 hours...   Before taking Him in, the Doctor informed Me that He didn't have a very good chance of coming out of this or being paralyzed on His right side if He did plus it might reoccur in a day, week or month from today... A head scan had told them it was in the head area... But luckily when they got in, it was on the outside of the brain, was a huge blood clot, Doc said from hitting His head very recently... Two days Now they have done head scans early morning hours, yesterdays wasn't as good as Saturdays, said there was still some blood floating around and might have to be drained by drilling a hole in the side of His scull...   He is still in ICU, may be transferred to OCU  tomorrow if the scan seems better... They were supposed to take His catheter out today But when We left tonight, it still hadn't been done, But they did ask Him if He wanted soft foods instead of liquids, of course He said yes... I think it was too soon, But... He refused to take the pain med's, Morphine, said would Only take Tylenol and kept the pain until He got His way... Everything they ask Him, He just says I want to go home, I'm ok... But the Doc did say, He was far from ok yet and out of danger... if any of You wants to send cards or call, here is the address and number, don't have a room number yet except address it to ICU Dept. for Don Ross, I will send a room number when I get one, or You can call the hospital at this number and ask for the room number...      Trident Medical Center 9330 Medical Plaza Drive Charleston, S.C. - 29406     --__--__-- Message: 3 From: Ray To: The_Dojang Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2008 07:28:27 -0700 Subject: [The_Dojang] Sangmyung U.
