Thank-You letter (California Taekwondo) --__--__-- Message: 1 Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2008 15:22:08 -0700 From: "California Taekwondo" To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Thank-You letter Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net WTF President's Thank-You Letter to Participants in WTF Olympic Coach Seminar June 20, 2008 To : Participants in WTF Olympic Coach Seminar I would like to express my appreciation to all the participants in the WTF Coach Seminar for the Beijing Olympic Games for taking their precious time to attend the coach seminar, the first in WTF's history. I would also like to thank all the participants for signing off a resolution on fair play at the Olympic coach seminar, reconfirming their strong determination to show the world the most sportsmanlike behavior in the taekwondo competition at the upcoming Olympic Games. The WTF organized the Olympic coach seminar not to teach you new things, but to give you one more chance to share information among participants prior to the Olympic Games, thus helping you better understand the Olympic Movement and the Olympic Games. As you are well aware of, the upcoming Olympic Games are very crucial for the future of the Olympic sport of taekwondo. The WTF organizes an Olympic referee refresher course next month in China. Through the Olympic coach seminar and the Olympic referee refresher course, we reiterate the importance of fair play and fairest judging and refereeing in the taekwondo competition at the Beijing Olympic Games. As ASOIF Director Andrew Ryan said in his video speech at the coach seminar, all the taekwondo family members around the world should work together in a total spirit of unity to show the world the sport of taekwondo and its values. Once again, I would like to thank all the seminar participants and ask for their fair play and role model in bringing a more orderly environment to the taekwondo competition sites, in which athletes and coaches will accept the competition results and follow proper protest procedures, if necessary. For the sake of out athletes and for the sake of taekwondo's future, it is our responsibility to ensure that only the best athletes become worthy champions. If you have any further suggestions, the WTF is in a position to accept them. Sincerely yours, Chungwon Choue President World Taekwondo Federation --__--__-- _______________________________________________ The_Dojang mailing list The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://the-dojang.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/the_dojang Copyright 1994-2008: Ray Terry and http://MartialArtsResource.com Standard disclaimers apply.
