Master Hilland, I stated what I was looking for, a Hapkido instructor for a novice student moving to North Dallas. My instructor is fairly traditional in a lot ways so that's kinda what I'm looking for. Met Master Kirsch and he does seem like a nice enough fella. Haven't had the opportunity of meeting Master Beck but I did get some on and off list referrals for him that were certainly favorable. Have met Master Murphy on a few occasions and he too seemed very personable. Looks like I have three good technical referrals although I don't particularly care for some of the associations - which of course does matter when referring people. Also, congratulations on your promotion to sixth degree. And again, I appreciate the referrals from everyone both on and off list. On another topic, early on Wednesday, we'll be heading to Orlando for the Martial Art SuperShow. If you see someone walking around with a Gordon Martial Art shirt, stop and say hello. As KJN Beck said, there are a number of schools in the area, so it will be up to the student to see which is most suited/closest for regular training. You can trust me when I say that KJN Beck also teaches REAL Hap Ki Do. My apologies for any confusion. The congrats was meant for Master McHenry being promoted to 7th degree in TSD.
