The benefits of fasting are incredible. In regards to your question though, you will experience heightened senses, acute concentration, fresh energy (past day 3), increase in stamina etc. Why? because your body is getting a rest from being overwhelmed with an abundance of food. That means if you eat alot of junk (fast food, sweets, processed foods, junk foods, etc) then you're putting not only a bunch of stuff that's difficult to digest/eliminate in your body. So just think, if you eat 3 times a day but only eliminate once a day you're backed up. What happens to any system that's backed up? it breaks down. So just imagine being backed up, then think about processed foods and additives in the foods etc. Then some people have terrible eating habits; over-eating, barely getting the necessary essentials for the day, etc. That takes it's toll on people.   By fasting you give your body a break. If fasting and doing a cleanse you unclog the bowels, get rid of toxins and other mess they put in the food, and basically start out fresh. This really gives you a boast of energy, and optimizes the system so your performance in many things will be much better.   Jye --- On Wed, 8/6/08, Chris & Cindy Callahan wrote: This is something that I have heard before, but I was never personally exposed to it. I like the saying that your Hapkido technique grows from the ground up just like almost everything else on this planet....so you can have the hand position perfect but if you are too far away from your center of power then it's like playing tug of war with your opponents hands, arms, etc.. and you won't be able to lock that pain on for real....
