Over time the flags get dusty and faded and that is lets say unacceptable. No one seem to know or care that there is upkeep to be done, you do sweep the floors clean the bathrooms and so on. I have seen at one school were the flags were framed very nicely and I was very impressed and this is the way to go. Easy to dust and fading is slowed. Korean Sword II is a straight single edge blade design, of the type that can be traced back to the 45h-5th century and pre-dates the Katana. The 28.5" blade is slightly less that 5/16" think and tapers towards the point. It has a tempered edge just like a Japanese Katana. This hard edge is visible. $220.00 each. 50% off for orders of six or more. etc, etc, etc... See http://kriscutlery.com/documents/otherweapons.html for more info. But if you're interested make sure you are getting "Korean Sword II" as I believe only "Korean Sword" is currently appearing at the above URL. Tell Cecil that I sent you. 1.510.758.9912. I looked at the web-site and found it interesting and appealing concerning philosophy and its' origins for its "birth".... I live on Long Island, NY... is there a school nearby so as I can check it out ? Also, one more thing, a lesson I have from one of my former masters, the late, Dr. James Dussalt, he was always concerned about Northern Korea and Southern Korea and its philosphy of its govt that is representative of its arts ( has always confused me ITF vd WTF) For me, TKD is not about govt, instead govt is about its people. Even under harsh military laws, the people still have their family and their love even when oppressed and etc...etc... Sorry, kind of went off a bit. SO, 1) Forms ? 2) Any schools in NY thats all i need to know :) Thanks greg nabel ----- Original Message ----- From: Ray Date: Friday, August 8, 2008 11:49 pm Subject: [The_Dojang] Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan To: The_Dojang > U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation > U.S. Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation > > 2008 National Festival > San Diego, CA > August 14 -22 > > http://www.soobahkdo.com/ > http://soobahkdo.editme.com/NationalFestivalSeminars2008 > _______________________________________________ > The_Dojang mailing list, 2,400 members > The_Dojang@martialartsresource.net > Copyright 1994-2008: Ray Terry and Martial Arts Resource > Standard disclaimers apply > Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://the-dojang.net > www.gnabelmartialarts.com [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type text/x-vcard which had a name of shimmeringlight.vcf; charset=us-ascii] --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Sun, 10 Aug 2008 21:10:15 -0700 (PDT) From: Luther Veuleman To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Subject: [The_Dojang] Ray: Bike Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Ray! Bike?! Sweet! I have recently gotten into mountain biking, and I do a little road work for non-dirt related exercise. 500 miles is a stretch, but doable. I am signing up for a ride in April of next year from Houston TX to Austin TX for MS http://www.ms150.org/ms150/ I took off 16 pounds in the last 6 weeks, I'm pretty happy with that.
