Police say 41-year-old Luis Castro tried to force a 13-year-old girl, believed to be a relative, to perform sex acts upon him. Castro's arrest warrant describes a disturbing scenario. 41-year-old Castro runs a Taekwondo school out of a strip center off of Craig Road. According to his arrest warrant, martial arts was not all Castro was teaching inside the studio. The warrant says that a 13-year-old relative came to visit Castro's family in June 2007. Police say the first indecent exposure charge comes from a situation in which Castro allegedly exposed his genitals to the girl, and asked her if she had ever kissed a boy "down there". The attempted sex assault comes from another alleged incident in which the girl was alone with Castro at the Taekwondo studio. The girl told police she was putting on one of the uniforms, when Castro dropped his pants and asked her to "please kiss my genitals." According to the warrant, the girl agreed to do that, but when Castro asked for more, she refused. The warrant also states Castro told the girl not tell anyone what had happened and that he gave her ice cream and $7 to keep her silent. "I wouldn't really talk all that much with him. Most of the time I would go in, do what I had to do, then leave," said Taekwondo student "Paloma". Paloma has been a Taekwondo student at Castro's school for a year. She says she never saw any inappropriate contact between Castro and students. "It is scary to know that I went there, but fortunately he never did nothing to me." The arrest warrant says the girl waited until last May to report the incident. Police interviewed Castro and determined there was enough evidence to arrest and charge him one count of attempted sex assault of a minor under 14 and two counts of gross lewdness. Beside the Taekwondo school, Luis Castro is involved in other youth organizations across the Valley. Metro's Sex Assault Unit wants to know if there are any more victims out there. They encourage anyone that has any knowledge of sexual misconduct on Castro's part to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555. --__--__-- Message: 4 From: michael tomlinson To: Subject: RE: [The_Dojang] Surgery Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2008 15:10:00 +0000 Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Good to hear you are back Ray....when you wrote about removing a small cancer you freaked me out...I thought you were talking about kicking me off the list!!!
