His idea of building powerful midsections was to face an opponent of similar skill level and rank and exchange 10 roundhouse kicks to the gut and return. Eventually, we built powerful midsections. On route however, a few students threw up and never returned. That was Moo Duk Kwan in 1963. How fortunate for students today that we now do crunches and sit-ups. When we do demonstrations, I have my son who is my Assistant give his roundhouses. He just LOVES to roundhouse his "old man"! Makes for a great demo and besides at 59 I developed a six pack.
