A reminder that April 17-19 is our Korean Martial Art's Festival "Gathering of the Masters." Looks like a pretty exciting group coming again this year. Grand Master Hwang (ITF K-9-1) sent his regards saying he will not be able to make it this year - he'll come to our school later in the year. With almost sixty years in the arts, Grand Master Timmerman is the keynote presenter doing a group session Saturday morning. On the close of Sunday, he will be going over soft breaking in the parking lot using concrete blocks. If you've never seen it, you don't want to miss it. A long list of instructors coming from all over USA and Canada with subjects such as Taekwon-Do kicks, Hapkido joint locks & redirection, Close Quarter Combat, Rope/Belt training, short stick, gun defense, and other topics. On the list are masters in TaeKwon-Do, Hapkido, Kuk Sool, and TangSoDo along with Mr Calvin Longton the "Retired Special Forces, KravMaga, CDT, Hagannah, & Hapkido guy." Last year's event with pictures and a few quotes can be read at: http://www.gordonmartialarts.com/new/2008-0420/ Registration is $85 postmarked by March 31. $99 after that. Sincerely, Thomas Gordon Master's Seminars on April 17-19, 2009 www.GordonMartialArts.com/new/2009-0419 --__--__-- Message: 3 To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Date: Wed, 25 Mar 2009 07:51:51 -0400 From: tkdgalsamm@aol.com Subject: [The_Dojang] Re: Video Kick - highest kick Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I've seen a kick higher than this at a tournament, in fact somewhere I have pictures of it. Two guys standing on top of chairs holding a board that he broke, at least, it sure looked higher than that ...
