I'd think that it has been part of the modern domain, as well as, a part of Korean Mudo History, that there should certainly be a second look. I think its interesting that this happened after Hwang Kee's passing. I guess that HC Hwang doesn't want TKD people to pay homage to their MDK roots. Thoughts? The time to do that was probably back when it was open and available for comment (2005-09-13 - Published for opposition) in the US Patent and Trademark Office. You had to go look for it to see that it was open for comment, but that seems to be the way the Trademark office works. I -suspect- that one can continue to use the logo, name, etc. until you receive legal notification to cease and desist. If you purchase MDK patches from someone, e.g. TKD MDK patches, I suspect it is the company selling the patches that needs to worry, not those buying or wearing them. But what do I know...??? Heck, I thought the USTC's use of the name USTF would be a problem. Oh, wait, it was... :) Ray On May 27, 2009, at 6:31 PM, Frank Clay wrote: > Other than a lawsuit, is there any way to argue this point?
