Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Hi all, I was wondering if anyone was familiar with "United Studios of Self Defense" in Henderson, Nevada ? It might be a chain ? My family is considering enrolling my grand-neice (gosh I must be old to have a grand-neice!!!). To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I'm familiar with that school in general (not in NV). It's a chain like a Tiger Schulmanz. I'd suggest watching a couple of classes and watching the skill of the highest ranked student before enrolling. The one I went to many moons ago had a great teacher, but his highest ranked student lacked solid technique.   Jye --- On Wed, 7/1/09, Jerry wrote: From: Jerry Subject: [The_Dojang] Henderson Nevada Studio ? Good for core strength, cardio, etc. Need to do the exercises very carefully and correctly has you're swinging these 500 lbs bells around (ok, maybe I added an extra zero), so it is very easy to hurt yourself. The traditional bells are expensive so I went with http://www.kettlestack.com/ .
