You want to learn martial arts you go to a martial arts school. You want to learn flips you go to a gymnastics school. That is not a knock on the XMA stuff. It's great fun to watch and they are truly athletes. It comes from a couple of different things. My wife was a gymnastics instructor prior to getting involved in martial arts. She comments every time on the sloppiness of the flips in some of the XMA competitions. Another reason is that I also know of a couple of competitors in the XMA style competitions. They spend a lot of time in a gymnastics gym. There may be some good XMA type schools in that area, but if you want to learn how to flip, in my opinion, go to people who have been flipping and twisting for many years. Gymnasts. Thanks and good luck, Mr. Kenneth Legendre 5th Dan TKD --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Mon, 20 Jul 2009 12:30:52 -0700 (PDT) From: Jye nigma Subject: Re: [The_Dojang] Re:XMA Flips To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net gymnastics or tumbling school.       Jye --- On Mon, 7/20/09, Kenneth W.
