A high shin kick to someone's head will make them see stars. Duck or move back 6-12" and suddenly the aggressor may find themselves way, way over extended. High kicks are like high risk investments. If they pay off, it's HUGE dividends. If it doesn't, you typically lose everything. As we get older, we tend to take lower risk "investments". :) Sincerely, Thomas Gordon Master's Seminars April 16-18, 2010 www.GordonMartialArts.com/april --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "Stovall, Craig" To: Date: Mon, 5 Oct 2009 17:35:32 -0500 Subject: [The_Dojang] RE: Yoga Materials Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net I defer to Mike Tomlinson on all things related to wearing spandex. However, I've found this to be a good, no-nonsense resource for the average guy who wants to stretch a little. I was skeptical when I saw it, but it's really a good book. http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Regular-Guys-Workout-Planet/dp/1594740798/ref =sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254782110&sr=8-1 CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE This e-mail contains privileged and confidential information which is the property of Nucor, intended only for the use of the intended recipient(s). However, the best quote I've heard regarding head kicks was something like "The only time I'm kicking someone in the head is if they're already on the ground."
