I'd used my card at a retailer that used Heartland, and was notified by my bank, who also set up extra monitoring and security protocols. Did you run into any issues resulting from this at all? And yes, that kinda bites. :) We were with EasyPay for a while but found them to not be a good mix for our school. And that was a very nice way to say I thought they were terrible to do business with. Went to PPS who merged into Member Solutions. I really liked PPS and haven't had a lot of issues with the new merger. However, one issue that was recently resolved is if a payment doesn't clear, they put the customer on statement (meaning the student mails the payment in - as if that'll happen) and then told us there was nothing more than could do. So, in a nut shell, we'll gather the low fruit but if it get's tricky, you're on your own. Well, if that's the case, I might as well keep the 6% they were charging. So we started doing EFT/ACH in house. I understand PPS/MS stepped up their collection methods and really have nothing negative to say about them. One buddy is with ASF and seems to like them. Another buddy is with ASF and doesn't like them. They basically hold the check for a period of time (like 30 days) and if that account ever has enough funds to cover the check, it's taken. It really pisses off deadbeats who usually don't know about this. Personally, I would ALWAYS pay the guy first who can bust me into little pieces and not break a sweat, but that's just me... dave weller On Nov 2, 2009, at 7:48 PM, the_dojang- request@martialartsresource.net wrote: > Mr. Gordon, > > Yes, we use Heartland for ACH payments and your right, they cost a > fraction of a big company.
