Reply-To: the_dojang@martialartsresource.net Brian, I read A Killing Art by Alex Gillis last year. It is a good book, lots of good historical information. I have required all my black belt students who to read it. It is a bit of an expose and brings a sober perspective to the history of the art while giving credit where it is due to those who have done so much for it. In the conclusion Gillis leaves the reader with the thought that Tae Kwon is a great art and a way of life, even if not all of its history is ennobling.
